Ogunquit’s Finest Location Overlooking the Sea  In the tradition of Maine's summer resorts, the Marginal Way House has been welcoming visitors since at least 1911. Located on Wharf Lane, two blocks from the center of town, directly across from the Ogunquit Beach, the Marginal Way House offers incomparable views of the beach and coastline. Guests are a short walk from shops, restaurants, theaters, art galleries, and all Ogunquit has to offer while remaining in an oasis away from the busy traffic of Route 1 and Shore Road. We offer 3 types of rooms including guest house or hotel rooms in our Main House and Wharf House buildings, motel rooms in our Dockside Motel, and efficiency apartments which are located through out our 5 building complex. All of our rooms have private baths, cable TV, a small refrigerator, hair dryers, and clock radios. We offer free parking for one car per room or apartment, offer daily maid service, and serve coffee and tea each morning. What's new! We've added a free wi-fi hotspot in our Main house living room. Those without a computer can use ours for free also in the Main House living room, open during office hours (8 AM - 9 PM). The range seems to cover all the Main rooms but doesn't always stretch to the other buildings. We will be looking to expand wi-fi coverage to all of our buildings in the very near future. Over the past few years we have been trying to improve the safety of our grounds and buildings. In that regard we have installed a new fence by our waterfront which helps keep the little ones safe. (There is still water access for those who wish). This year we have upgraded our Motel railings and Carriage House railings to make them much safer without changing the very nice water views that they have.
